A1 Car Rentals ("Company", "we", "our", "us") operates the A1 Car Rentals mobile application (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions.

1. Information Collection and Use

We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you.

Personal Data

While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you ("Personal Data"). Personally identifiable information may include:

• First name and last name
• Driver's License Information: As per our Terms and Conditions, we require a valid copy of your driver's license for identity verification and eligibility assessment.

Usage Data

When you access the Service by or through a mobile device, we may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser you use, unique device identifiers, and other diagnostic data.

Location Data

To ensure the safety of our users and the security of our vehicles, we use and store information about your location.

• Mandatory Tracking: As a condition of our rental agreement, location tracking is mandatory while there is an active rental associated with your account. No option exists to disable this tracking while a vehicle is in your possession.
• App Usage Constraint: Location data is collected while the application is open and in use (foreground).
• Purpose: We use this data strictly for safety and emergency assistance. In the event of an emergency, or if a user (such as a visitor to the island) becomes lost, this data allows us to locate the user and the vehicle to provide immediate support and recovery services.

By agreeing to our Terms and Conditions and starting a rental, you acknowledge and consent to this mandatory tracking requirement.

2. Use of Data

A1 Car Rentals uses the collected data for various purposes:

• To provide and maintain our Service.
• To notify you about changes to our Service.
• To allow you to participate in interactive features of our Service.
• To provide customer support and emergency assistance.
• Identity Verification: Specifically using your driver's license to verify your identity and legal eligibility to operate a motor vehicle.
• Safety & Recovery: To locate the vehicle and occupants in emergency situations or if the user is lost on the island.
• To monitor the usage of our Service and prevent fraudulent activities.

3. Storage and Transfer of Data

Your information, including Personal Data, is processed and stored on servers located in St. Lucia and the United States.

Please be aware that your data may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.

If you are located outside of St. Lucia or the United States and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to these locations and process it there. Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

A1 Car Rentals may disclose your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

We may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service ("Service Providers"), to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services, or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used. These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

Our Service may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18 ("Children"). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Children have provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

9. Account Deletion and Data Retention

We believe in providing you with full control over your data.

• In-App Deletion: You may delete your account and all associated Personal Data directly within the application. To do so, navigate to your User Profile screen and tap the red trash can icon located in the top right corner.
• Effect of Deletion: Once you confirm deletion, your account will be deactivated, and your Personal Data will be removed from our active databases.
• Exceptions: Please note that we may retain certain information as required by law (such as for tax or accounting purposes) or as necessary for legitimate business purposes (such as fraud prevention or resolving disputes) as outlined in Section 4.

10. Your Data Protection Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain data protection rights. A1 Car Rentals aims to take reasonable steps to allow you to correct, amend, delete, or limit the use of your Personal Data. If you wish to be informed what Personal Data we hold about you or if you want it to be removed from our systems outside of the in-app deletion process, please contact us.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
